Bimmers of the Month for August 2013

This month, we asked Stealth Auto fans from all around the world to send us pictures of their upgraded and modified BMWs. We received A TON of responses, but can only post our top three favorites. This month we’re going with a M3 theme. Luckily, our top three submissions each came from three different generations.

AT NUMBER THREE

Joe Barany’s NA-Spec E36 M3

Angel Eyes were initially designed to peer into the souls of Hyundai drivers.

The North American version of the E36 M3 may not have been as powerful as the Euro-Spec model, but that doesn’t mean its wasn’t a great car: The M3 consistently outperformed other competitors at its time, such as the Mercedes Benz C36 AMG and the Audi S4 (B5) and is considered by many to be a modern-day classic. Joe’s M3 also proves that you can always improve on great things: Visible in the picture up top are four E36 parts that make the car look a lot sleeker and aggressive.  These include E36 Matte Black Grilles, DEPO LED Angel Eye Projector Headlights, DEPO Smoked Side Lenses, and Black BMW Roundel Overlays. These are four tasteful mods that won’t break the bank, but will give your car a considerable face-lift over it’s stock counterpart.

This is how you start an E36 M3.

AT NUMBER TWO

John Doe’s E92 M3

Dat Ass.

The E92 M3 is the epitome of the modern day sports car; its fast in a straight line, fast around a bend, and comfortable enough to be a daily driver. With a 4.0 Litre V8 that propels it from 0-60 in 4.6 seconds, this German monster will only set you back $60,100 (before a plethora of options).  You can find a full list of E92 mods and accessories by clicking HERE.

The E92 M3 loves corners.

FINALLY, AT NUMBER ONE!

Derek Dowty’s E46 M3

The Japanese and the Germans have a long history of teaming up. Doesn’t always work out. At least they know what they are doing when it comes to cars.

An incredibly balanced sports car that’s track ready out of the box.

Topping the E36 M3 was hard to do, but the E46 version did its older brother justice. Its a full second quicker to 60 than the E36 and even .1 seconds faster than the E92. This was also the first M3 model available with an optional automated manual SMG transmission, which gives drivers lightning quick gear changes. Derek’s M3 features a number of exterior mods, such as E46 carbon fiber grilles and projector fog lights.
